What do WordPress support plans cover?
The best WordPress website support services cover plugin, theme, and WP core updates, regular backups and site restoration, real-time security monitoring, content management, speed optimization, healthy Core Web Vitals, accessibility enhancements, feature testing, traffic analysis, and help with server and host migration.
Premium and Elite plans have additional advanced features, such as performance optimization, SEO auditing, mobile testing, e-commerce support, and website edits (2 hours/mo for custom development, content and blog design, SEO services, and more).
Do I have to sign a contract?
Yes, you have to sign a contract for all our WordPress maintenance support plans. It ensures transparency and sets clear expectations for both parties. The contract outlines all the details of your plan, so you know exactly what to expect from our services.
What is your refund policy?
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all our website support plans. If you’re unsatisfied within the first 30 days, contact us at connect@statewp.com or call 510.842.3826 for a full refund.
After 30 days, you can cancel and use our services until the end of your billing cycle, but cancellations are not eligible for refunds. To cancel, please notify us at least 30 days before the cycle ends.
Does it matter what hosting provider I use?
Yes, your hosting provider has a major impact on your website’s speed, uptime, and overall performance. We’re happy to work with your current host, but if it’s slowing you down or causing reliability issues, we may recommend moving to a faster, more secure platform.
Our Premium and Elite plans now include fully managed hosting as part of the package, giving you optimal performance and peace of mind. If you’re on the Starter plan, you can add hosting for just $32/month. Migration is quick, seamless, and completely free for Premium and Elite clients.
What’s included in the website edits (2 hours/mo)?
Your two hours of monthly edits cover you for feature and design development, content editing, regular updates, SEO management, and other custom testing and design projects.

Are there any other extra fees?
We charge a one-time, $199 onboarding fee for Starter customers – no onboarding fees for Premium or Elite.
We also charge a $150 hourly rate for any support, consultation, or editing beyond your monthly allowance (or your banked hours).
Finally, if you’d like to take advantage of our premium hosting, there’s an optional $34/month charge for this service.
Note: We communicate all fees to you before work begins and you incur any expenses.
How long is the response time?
We respond to all inquiries within one business day.
We always do our best to respond as quickly as possible. Repairs and maintenance may take some time to complete depending on what’s needed, but you’ll hear from us quickly, and we’ll communicate with you frequently if issues arise.
We are open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, Pacific Time.

How does your white-label option work?
Our white-label option allows you to rebrand our support packages as your own, so your clients will see your name and logo instead of ours. You also have full control over the customer relationship, which means you submit requests and bugs and send out monthly performance reports. You also have access to a control panel that gives you easy access to all your sites.
What’s your referral bonus?
Our referral bonus is $200 for a starter plan, $300 for a premium plan, and $600 for an elite plan. We award it per site that signs up and pays for a full year of ongoing maintenance at our regular, non-agency rates. You’ll receive the bonus once the annual payment has been submitted and the service has been active for 30 days.

How does onboarding work for StateWP support plans?
After you choose a WordPress support plan, our team will integrate your site into our comprehensive dashboard that provides real-time insights into performance and security.
We then conduct a full audit, update WordPress versions, remove unnecessary plugins, and optimize databases and images to improve speed and security, all while keeping you informed.
How does billing work?
You can pay monthly or annually for your WordPress support plan, with a 15% discount per month if you choose to pay for a year upfront. Monthly payments are more expensive but provide flexibility.
We accept payments via ACH/bank transfer and credit and debit cards.
What happens if my site is hacked?
If your site is hacked before you join us, we’ll bring you on board immediately, fix your website, and ensure you don’t lose your online presence. We’ll also find the cause of the security breach, remove any malware or malicious codes left behind, run necessary security updates, perform real-time security monitoring, and thoroughly fortify your site’s security against further attacks with firewalls. Once restored, your website will be fully operational and protected.
As an ongoing customer, we monitor and remedy any suspicious activity, run plugin updates, back up your software, resolve potential technical issues, and quarantine malware should it arise. This ensures our 100% hack-free record for our clients.
Do you support WooCommerce websites?
Yes, we support WooCommerce websites through our Elite website support plan.
E-commerce sites require staging sites and additional resources to attain peak performance and enhanced security. Our seasoned team handles these demands and provides the necessary support to transform your WooCommerce site into a powerful conversion machine.
Do you offer phone support?
Although we’re good about answering the phone and we’d be happy to chat, we don’t provide web support over the phone.
