A WordPress care plan is a monthly website maintenance package that covers all the technical and administrative aspects of running a WordPress website.
We’ve designed our care plans to eliminate time-consuming, repetitive, and often complex tasks so business owners can focus on managing their business instead of constantly dealing with potential security vulnerabilities and performance issues.
What do WordPress care plans cover?
The best care plans cover WordPress core file, plugin, and theme updates, regular backups and site restoration, real-time security monitoring, content management, speed optimization, accessibility enhancements, SEO auditing, feature testing, traffic analysis, help with server and host migration, and access to an all-in-one maintenance dashboard and control center.
Premium and Elite plans have additional advanced features, such as performance optimization, mobile testing, e-commerce support, and website edits (2 hours/mo for custom development, content and blog design, SEO services, and more).
How does StateWP care plan onboarding work?
Then, our team will welcome you to StateWP and integrate your site into Proto, our all-in-one command center and user dashboard. We’ll also introduce you to your dedicated account manager, who will be your single point of contact to provide customer service no matter what you need.
Next, we’ll audit your current website, update your software, eliminate security threats, provide advanced functionality, and optimize performance from day one. From there, it will be regular maintenance and constant monitoring. 🕵️
What is StateWP’s refund policy?
You can cancel and claim a complete refund within 30 days of signing up for any of our website care plans. If you’re not satisfied within the first 30 days, contact us at connect@statewp.com or call 510.842.3826 for a full refund.
After 30 days, you can cancel and use our services until the end of your billing cycle, but cancellations are not eligible for refunds. To cancel, please notify us at least 30 days before the cycle ends.
What happens if my site is hacked?
If your site is hacked before you join us, we’ll bring you on board immediately, fix your website, and ensure you don’t lose your online presence. We’ll also find the cause of the hack, remove any malware left behind, perform real-time security monitoring, and thoroughly fortify your site’s security against further attacks. Once restored, your website will be fully operational and protected.
As an ongoing customer, we monitor and remedy any suspicious activity, do plugin updates, back up your software, resolve potential issues, and quarantine malware should it arise. This ensures our 100% hack-free record for our clients.
Does StateWP support WooCommerce?
Yes, we support WordPress & WooCommerce websites through our Elite plan.

Can I use any hosting provider and work with StateWP?

How does billing work?
You can pay monthly or annually for your WordPress web care plan, with a 15% discount per month if you choose to pay for a year upfront. Monthly payments are more expensive but are a more flexible choice.
We accept payments via ACH/bank transfer and credit and debit cards.
Does StateWP work with agencies?
Yes, we do! We have two options:
- A white-label option if you want to continue working with and building strong relationships with your clients
- A handsome referral bonus if you’d like us to manage the relationship
How does your white-label option work?
Our white-label option allows you to rebrand our care packages as your own, so your clients will see your name and logo instead of ours. You also have full control over the customer relationship, which means you submit requests and bugs and send out monthly performance reports. You also have access to a control panel that gives you easy access to all your sites.
How much does your white-label option cost?

What’s your referral bonus?
Our referral bonus is $200 for a starter plan, $300 for a premium plan, and $600 for an elite plan. We award it per site that signs up and pays for a full year of ongoing maintenance at our regular, non-agency rates. You’ll receive the bonus once the annual payment has been submitted and the service has been active for 30 days.

We charge a one-time onboarding fee when you first set up a plan: $199 for Starter customers, and $0 for Premium and Elite customers.
Our hourly rate is $150 for any support, consultation, or editing that goes beyond your monthly allowance (or your banked hours).
Hosting is included with our Premium and Elite plans, and can be added to the Starter plan for $32/month.
Note: We always communicate all fees before any work begins, and you approve any additional expenses in advance.
